80% of 4-year-olds who graduate from the Parent-Child Home Program are 4-K ready.

As part of United Way's effort to ensure that children are cared for and have fun as they become prepared for school, we are asking you to support our local Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) this Mother's Day. Parent-Child Home Program is an evidence-based, national program that provides under-resourced families the necessary skills and tools to ensure their children thrive in school and in life.

PCHP provides two years of twice-weekly visits to families with children starting at age 2.PCHP's in-home approach makes it convenient for under-served families isolated by poverty, language barriers, and lack of transportation to participate in high quality, educational early childhood services.

Each week, trained early literacy specialists bring a book or educational toy that is a gift for the family to keep and is often the first such item in the home. Using the book or toy, the literacy specialist models positive ways for the parents to read, play and interact with their child to develop language and literacy skills and build school readiness.

Together we are strengthening families and our community and preparing the workforce and leaders of the future.

Thank you for sharing your Mother's Day with us and investing in Dane County children!
